The children look for the identity of the artist and of themselves. Together with a teacher from the museum they discuss and compare the diverse works of art in the museum. How can you see which work is by which artist? How does an artist show his identity in his work? In our portrait gallery we look at the great diversity of (self-) portraits. How do they differ from one another, and how does the artist show the identity of the person in the portrait? After this, the children get to work creating their own (self-) portrait and in this way experience how it is to represent their own identity expressively.
